RASES / Radar Cross Section Calculation System
- Product information
- Analyzes
- Technicial Features
RASES is a software that calculates the Radar Cross Section (RCS) by solving the scattering problem of electromagnetic fields with high frequency techniques. Developed by RAPSIM, RASES software is based on techniques such as physical optics, ricochet beam method, physical diffraction theory, TYAR image generation and CLEAN algorithm.
ANALYSIS USED IN THE SOFTWARE:
- MONOSTATIC AND BISTATIC RDA PREDICTION
In the simulation environment based on high frequency calculation techniques provided by RASES, monostatic and bistatic RCA analyzes can be performed for different frequencies, materials, incidence and observation angles. Materials with different electrical properties on the platform can be defined with the RSM library in the RASES software. Monostatic and bistatic analysis results can be plotted in linear or logarithmic scales, in Cartesian or polar coordinates. However, statistical information on RCA results can also be obtained with these results. RASES offers reliable RCA values validated by analytical, numerical and experimental methods. - RANGE PROFILE, 2-D AND 3-D TYAR IMAGE CALCULATION
In RASES software, 1-D (range profile), 2-D and 3-D TYAR images of target/platforms can be created using RKA values and displayed on the user graphical interface. Dominant scattering regions on the platform can be detected using TYAR images. Thus, RCA reduction or target recognition studies can be carried out.
- DETECTION OF CENTER OF scattering
The location and amplitudes of the scattering center, which can be detected from 1-D, 2-D and 3-D TYAR images, are important in RCA reduction studies of targets/platforms. Scattering center removal is performed with the CLEAN algorithm.
- DESIGN RECOMMENDATIONS FOR RDA REDUCTION
The RCA value of a platform can be reduced by making geometric changes on the platform or by using radar absorber material. A material not included in the library can be used for analysis by adding the electrical properties of the material to the library. Geometric changes can be made on the platform's CAD model using commercial CAD model software. Thus, it is possible to design low RKA value platforms.
