Who We Are

Advanced Technologies Research Institute (İLTAREN) performs the tasks of conducting research on all kinds of software, hardware and equipment in the field of Electromagnetic Warfare, developing technologies and prototypes, creating methods and processes for developing and evaluating EW techniques and tactics, creating infrastructures for testing, measurement, analysis and evaluation activities for EW systems, and conducting scientific research in related fields of activity.

İLTAREN carries out the tasks of conducting scientific research in the relevant fields of following activities: establishment of infrastructures for testing, measurement, analysis and evaluation activities and carrying out these activities, conducting research on all kinds of software, hardware and equipment in the field of Electronic Warfare, developing technologies and prototypes, establishing methods and processes for the development and evaluation of EW techniques and tactics.

Systems and infrastructures including modeling and simulation software for decision support purposes are developed within İLTAREN in order to examine the performance of different systems operating in radio frequency (RF), infrared (IR) and optical bands in various environmental conditions.

In addition to software development studies, laboratory structures including system prototypes in the Electronic Warfare field and simulators containing hardware elements related to these systems are also developed within the Institute.

In order to carry out all these activities systematically with sensitive and detailed models supported by scientific data, measurement; test and evaluation systems that work in open field and laboratory environments are also developed.

2023

The Electronic Support Pod made its first functional flight on the F16.

The Radar Analysis Software developed for the National Joint Electronic Warfare Data Bank (MMEHBB) was delivered.

2022

The Electronic Warfare Pod made its first functional flight on the F16.

The integrated processor unit and avionic interface platform hardware of the National Combat Aircraft Project was developed.

2022

2021

The first version of the National Joint Electronic Warfare Data Bank (MMEHBB) Project was delivered.

ESEMOD software was developed to operate on LHD class (TCG Anadolu) ships.

Laboratory infrastructure was developed for the development of the jamming code used in Directed Infrared Countermeasure Systems.

The second version of the Instrumented Infrared Seeker Test System was developed.

2019

ESEMOD software was developed to work on MİLGEM class ships.

An agreement was signed with the Turkish Air Forces Command for İLTAREN to provide engineering support in the field of electronic warfare.

The Instrumented Infrared Seeker Test System was developed.

Within the scope of the Multi-Purpose Phased Array Radar Project, a Radar Performance Analysis Tool was developed for use in the production and verification of ASELSAN's concept demonstration system.

2016

The old ED systems in the Naval Forces Command's inventory were modernized with national software and algorithms.

Development studies were carried out to enable the self-protection system in the inventory of the Turkish Naval Forces Command to use up-to-date and national algorithms.

A Hardware In-Loop Laboratory was developed for self-protection methods against radio frequency (RF) systems.

The second version of the Digital Tactical Simulator for Electronic Warfare self-defense was developed. 

A Hardware In-Loop Laboratory was developed for self-protection methods against infrared systems.

Infrared Trace Measurement System was developed.

RF Recording and Analysis System was developed.

The Surface Electronic Assault System was developed.

İLTAREN started to serve as an institute affiliated to BİLGEM.

A contract was signed with the Turkish Land Forces Command for İLTAREN to provide engineering support in the field of electronic warfare.

A contract was signed with NATO for the SMIRONLINE Project developed for Spectrum Management needs.

Infrared Trace Analysis Software was developed.

ARCADE product developed for NATO Spectrum Management needs was delivered.

Contributed to the NATO Electronic Warfare exercise.

İLTAREN moved to its own building in Ankara Ümitköy Turkish Armed Forces Electronic Warfare Command campus and started to carry out its activities there.

A contract was signed with NATO for the ARCADE Project developed for Spectrum Management needs.

A Digital Tactical Simulator was developed for self-protection in the field of Electronic Warfare.

With the second protocol signed, İLTAREN Group continued its activities as a unit within National Research Institute of Electronics and Cryptology (UEKAE).

İLTAREN started to operate in the TÜBİTAK Presidency building with its core personnel.

In order to ensure that the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) have an effective defense capability, especially by using electronic warfare technologies, a protocol was signed between the General Staff Communications Electronics and Information Systems Directorate and TÜBİTAK, which sets out the principles of cooperation regarding the establishment of the Advanced Technologies Research Institute (İLTAREN) affiliated to TÜBİTAK.

İLTAREN Working Group started its activities under the TÜBİTAK Presidency.

The Cyber Security Institute, which was established to carry out studies to increase the national cyber security capacity, carries out research and development activities in the field of cyber security; carries out solutions-oriented projects for military institutions, public institutions and organizations and the private sector.

MILSEC 4 - Secure IP Terminal

SAFE IP TERMINAL

While the MİLSEC-4 terminal offers an up-to-date solution for next-generation secure communication (voice, data and video) in IP networks, it provides an uninterrupted communication service by maintaining the compatibility of secure voice communication in PSTN networks with PSTN secure phones in use.

Configuration, surveillance and software update processes of MILSEC-4 terminals are carried out securely remotely using the Security Management Center (GYM). MİLSEC-4 terminal is capable of IP Network Key Loading (IPAAY) through secure communication with GYM without the need for an additional device.

MİLSEC-4 terminals are interoperable with MİLSEC-1A and MİLSEC-2 phones and offer the opportunity to replace MİLSEC-1A and MİLSEC-2 phones without interruption in the gradual transformation of PSTN networks to next generation IP networks.
