Seminer on “Contextuality in Quantum Mechanics and Quantum Computing” at TÜBİTAK BİLGEM

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zafer Gedik from Sabancı University gave a seminar about “Contextuality in Quantum Mechanics and Quantum Computing” on 22 June of 2016 at TÜBİTAK BİLGEM.

In his speech, Dr. Gedik explained “contextuality” that is one of the most mysterious principles of quantum mechanics. He underlined the importance of the fundamental relation about contextuality called Klyachko-Can-Binicioğlu-Shumovsky (KCBS) inequality. In the last part of his speech, he introduced the simplest known quantum algorithm, known as Gedik algorithm, which uses the principle of contextuality. He also showed how Gedik algorithm boosts the computational speed of quantum computers.
