e-SENS (Electronic Simple European Networked Services) is a new large-scale project that embodies the idea of European Digital Market development through innovative ICT solutions. The project will consolidate, improve, and extend technical solutions to foster electronic interaction with public administrations across the EU. More than 100 partners from 22 countries including 20 EU countries, Norway and Turkey have participated in e-SENS project. Such a broad involvement amongst European countries reflects their interest, as well as their deep understanding of the importance of building the future digital single market.
e-SENS is expected in particular to:
- develop a common infrastructure for interoperable public services,
- enable higher interoperability between public administrations all over Europe,
- provide the foundation for the platform of “core services” for the e-Government cross-border digital infrastructure as foreseen in the draft regulation for implementing the Connecting Europe Facility,
- support the creation of the European digital single market.
